Google has launched AI Mode for all users in India. Now it will become easier to ask your questions on Google and get helpful AI-based answers. In addition, it will provide more assistance than before in searching subjects in depth on the web. Google AI Mode was introduced earlier this year at I/O 2025. According to Google’s blog post, Google first introduced its most powerful AI search — AI Mode — in India as an experiment through Labs in June. The response from people has been very encouraging. Users found its speed and responses much better. They used it in different ways — for learning, for deep exploration of topics, and even for understanding the most difficult questions. Search AI is proving to be a big step in this segment for Google.

Now, the AI Mode experience in Google Search is being rolled out, which no longer requires signing up for Labs. In the coming days, users will see a new tab for AI Mode in Search and in the Google app’s search bar, which will be available in English. All the features from the Labs launch will be available, allowing users to type, use their voice, or take photos with Lens. With this, users will get answers in full detail along with helpful links. They will also be able to ask follow-up questions to dig deeper into their queries. Now it remains to be seen how this end-to-end AI Search experience helps users discover answers to their questions and understand the world around them.

How to use AI Mode in Google Search:

  • Users can go to Google’s main webpage and click on the AI Mode tab to start it.
  • After this, the main AI Mode page will open in Search.
  • On the top of the search panel, users will see AI Mode alongside the All, News, and Shopping tabs.
  • Currently, this new option is available only in English.
  • In the coming months, it will be available in other languages as well.
